UUFW Activities

Our UUFW community nourishes much more than members’ spirituality and search for individual truth and meaning. We socialize together often in groups large and small. Social activities held throughout the year allow members to pursue common interests or just have fun together and, in the process, build lasting friendships.

UUFW members also share a deep commitment to the UU principle of justice, equity, and compassion in human relations. We’re given many opportunities as individuals and as a congregation to make meaningful contributions to improving our communities and world in which we live.

Fellowship Activities

UUFW members enjoy each other’s company in many ways, including:

  • Potluck luncheons for members, children, and visitors on the third Sunday of each month following the service

  • Annual holiday parties at Halloween (for children and adults) and Christmastime (for adults)

  • Second-Saturday movie at the Visulite Theater in Staunton or the Zeus Theater in Waynsboro followed by dinner at a nearby location.

  • Brownbaggers, a monthly lunchtime get-together for UUFW women

  • Organized hikes (pictured below) several times during the year beginning with our annual New Year’s Day hike

  • Annual summer picnic with Harrisonburg UUs
