Our Fellowship is a member of the Unitarian
Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA), in which each
congregation establishes its own mission and bylaws and hires
its own staff in accordance with Unitarian Universalist principles.
Our congregation is also part of the Thomas Jefferson District
of the UUA, which includes more than 60 UU congregations in Virginia,
North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
of Waynesboro is governed democratically by the congregation members.
A copy of our bylaws is available upon request. Officers and Board
members are elected at our annual congregational meeting in June.
Congregational meetings may also be called at other times for
special votes or presentations. Our Board of Directors consists

chairs of our standing committees, who serve one-year terms. These
