"Where Words Fail, Music Speaks"

-Hans Christian Andersen

The UUFW congregation is blessed with many talented musicians - some of whom are trained and professional, others are simply filled with the love of music and the joy of sharing it.

Our accompanist is Virginia Edwards. She is a gifted pianist who, on most Sunday mornings, thrills the congregation with a solo performance of a favorite classical or modern standard. The UU Tabernacle Choir (aka Pine Nuts) is led by Ken Patterson and performs every first Sunday of the month. And our congregation is blessed to have as members the folk singers Bill and Lorain Harouff (pictured). The Harouffs travel widely throughout the eastern US presenting musical worship services and concerts at UU churches. When they share their songs with us, whether serious or humorous, they always manage to touch some facet of the human experience and evoke a response.

Music is an essential component of the Unitarian Universalist experience. At UUFW, opportunities abound for anyone who has a musical gift or nothing more than a love of singing hymns along with the congregation during Sunday services.
