Parents bring their children to the RE building 10-15 minutes before
Sunday Services.
Infants and toddlers are cared for in the nursery
by a staff member or volunteer.
After a brief gathering for all
ages, children between the ages of three and thirteen go to their
classrooms
with their teachers. Classes are divided into the
following age groups:
PreK/Kindergarten, Early Elementary (grades
1-3), Upper Elementary/Middle School (grades 4-7).
Teens
(grades 8-12) gather for RE in the teen room.
Religious education classes follow age-appropriate curricula chosen
by the RE committee.
Using the selected curriculum, UUFW members
volunteer to lead RE classes for a scheduled
session which usually
runs for 7-10 weeks.

Adult Religious Education
UUFW members come together in many different ways to explore their
spirituality,
pursue emotional and intellectual growth, and learn
new skills. Some classes, like
the Newcomer’s Seminar, are
led by Rev. Ed Piper. Other programs like the
Women’s
Spirituality Group known as Sophia’s Daughters) and the
UUFW Men’s
Group
are organized and led by members. Regularly scheduled
classes and workshops,
many open to the general public, are held on
topics ranging from end of life planning to stained glass making.
Upcoming Adult RE Classes:
Pat Peason will be leading a one hour guided meditation
each Sunday morning in
the RE building beginning Sept 20th at 10 a.m. for a period of
six consecutive weeks.
Each session is a stand-alone session so it is not necessary to
commit to all 6 weeks.
