Each church year, Rev. Ed Piper offers a monthly sermon devoted to a particular theme. The theme for 2007-08 is "Our Place." These sermons explore the spiritual dimensions of our interdependent relationship with our suroundings, ranging from our place in the Universe to our place in the Shenandoah Valley with emphasis on our responsibility for sustaining the quality of life on Earth. In addition to these once-a-month sermons, Rev. Piper's other sermons address a wide variety of topics such as healthcare as a moral issue, parenting as a sipritual discipline, and the history of the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition.
